In 1999 we, the current mosque, moved in as tenants. At that time we were the only mosque in Landshut. The people in Landshut and from the surrounding area came to our mosque to perform the Friday prayer. Since then we offer a holiday boarding school for young people. The contributions of our members were only enough for the expenses. However, we have decided to buy a building which meets our requirements. With our own means we bought our mosque for 240.000€ and paid off our debts in ten years.
Due to the size of our property and the lack of space in the current building, we decided to build a four-storey building. For this construction we need about 2.500.000€.
South Bavaria Landshut Mosque and Education Center
On a 1,560 square meter plot of land, a large mosque and education center with a usage area of 1,600 square meters is being built. When the center is completed, it will be offered to the benefit of the people of the region with its domed mosque with a capacity of 300 people, rooms where young people can enjoy social activities, and classrooms where nursery services will be provided for young children.
